Has anyone tried an effective treatment for acne scars? What worked best for you?
I’ve been dealing with acne scars for a while now and have tried a few home remedies, but the results haven’t been great. I’m looking for treatments that actually work — whether it’s laser, chemical peels, microneedling, or anything else that helped fade your scars. Hey Ishani, totally get what you’re saying — acne scars can be really stubborn. I’ve been through that phase too. From what actually worked for me: microneedling with PRP (the “vampire facial” thing) made a visible difference after 3–4 sessions. My skin texture got smoother and those deeper marks started fading. It’s not an overnight fix, but definitely worth it if done by a good dermatologist. Chemical peels (like TCA or glycolic) can also help if your scars are mild to moderate — but they need to be spaced out properly and your skin should be prepped first. Lasers (like CO2 or Fraxel) are great for deeper scars, but they’re pricier and downtime can be a week or more. If you haven’t yet, maybe consult a derm first — they’ll tell you what type of scars you actually have (boxcar, icepick, rolling, etc.) and suggest a mix of treatments.
