Now Defy Your Age and Look Younger: Tips & Ways to Look Younger

But many of us are clueless about the right way to stay fit and healthy.

Let us show you few ways that can help you look younger than your actual age. So here’s how you’ll defy your age. Read on..

Take a break to avoid stress that triggers aging process

Studies have shown that stress triggers physical changes in the body that can hasten one’s aging process. Increase of the hormones, adrenaline and cortisol cause blood pressure to rise and the heart to beat faster. These days, when our stress seems relentless, lasting doses of adrenaline and cortisol take a heavy toll on our physical and emotional health. To prevent this once or twice daily, for 10 to 20 minutes meditate, do yoga, or something vigorous and tedious, like running or dancing.

Take up an activity to keep your body and mind young

Choose an activity that makes you happy. Gardening, singing, dancing, playing golf, learning music, reading, cooking or playing sport etc. will stimulate you both physically and mentally. These activities will keep both your body and mind young.

Take up strength training to look younger

It helps to build bone mass that helps to avoid and delay osteoporosis. Building muscle mass keeps us strong and accelerates the metabolism, which helps to maintain a healthy body weight and youthful figure. Strength training keeps us agile and improves balance, avoiding devastating falls and fractures. Strength Training will eventually take away the years not only from your face but also it will result in an agile body that’s self- reliant even post retirement age.

Grab your beauty sleep

Are you staying up into the wee hours for any reason? You will perhaps notice signs of sleep deficiency in the mirror the next day. Eye bags and pale skin can certainly make you look old and haggard. Chronic sleep deprivation will make your body grow old faster. Alter your attitude and your lifestyles, and begin working to get 7-8 hours of sleep a night. Cut down on afternoon caffeine or keep a book by your bedside to write down things you need to recollect in the morning. If you still have problems sleeping, visit your physician.

Eat healthy fats to prevent noticeable signs of aging

Consume the healthy kind, that is. Omega-3 fatty acids are found in salmon, walnuts, and seeds. It helps manage your mood, maintain bone strength, and help prevent noticeable signs of aging by decreasing inflammation in the body. Omega-3s also increase the ability of the body's enzymes to pull fat out of storage example from your hips, and convert it in energy. They keep you fit and your skin radiant.

Look after your smile

Most people ignore taking care of their mouth, but the fitness of your mouth can also affect the health of your body. People with gum diseases are more susceptible to heart disease and lung problems. For people with diabetes, management of gum problems can also help regulate blood sugar levels and trust us- stained or missing teeth are not a good sight to look at.

Most importantly, maintain friendships and social connections. Meet a friend, go for a walk, or enjoy a game of Scrabble. Do what you can to slow down the aging process naturally, and live your years to their fullest!
