How to get better sleep at night?

How to get better sleep at night?

Have you noticed how your body responds when you slept late in the night due to various reasons? Your skin starts looking sallow and your eyes look puffy after you have missed out on sleep for couple of nights. Prolonged loss of sleep results into having wrinkles, plus it ages you faster.

If you want your skin and hair to look younger, its time you follow some night time routines.

Have a skincare regime

Night time is when your cells regenerate as your body goes into repair mode. So, before you hit the bed, remove the oil, makeup and the bacteria on your face. Use a cleanser that removes all of it yet is gentle on your skin. Kaya’s Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin is a perfume-free, hypoallergenic and soap-free cleanser that gently cleanses your sensitive skin without causing dryness or irritation. Its natural fatty acids and proteins help balance the pH of your skin, leaving it soft, supple and hydrated. Know more here-

Use a silk or satin pillow case

This is the best way to prevent your skin from having fine lines. The fibres in the silk/satin pillow case prevent friction, thus less creasing and wrinkles. Even your hair will be benefitted by it and there will be less tangles and breakage.

Avoid salty/processed foods and alcohol

When you consume a lot of alcohol or salty food, your body becomes dehydrated. Due to this, it deposits all fluids around your eyes, giving you puffy eyes. To drain the fluids, use an extra-pillow. Avoid consuming alcohol at night, as it will give you restless sleep.

Use a humidifier

You are aware that drinking tons of water is good for your skin, but you cannot do that while you are sleeping. Try using a humidifier to keep yourself hydrated at night. This is handy during the winter, when your skin tends be drier.
