6 Things To Keep In Mind During This Navratri Season

6 Things To Keep In Mind During This Navratri Season

Navratri is a nationwide festival that goes on for 9 days, in celebration of goddess Durga. Every day has a different colour for clothing, which people generally sport throughout the day. Some also observe a fast and eat only once throughout the day for nine days. Ladies tend to dress up and make sure they look garba ready!

During all these festivities, your skin doesn’t get enough hydration or the time to breathe. With all the festivities, dehydration is bound to happen. More importantly, your skin doesn’t get the time to breathe as you are wearing makeup constantly.

Taking care of oneself becomes difficult but is highly needed during this time. So then, what can you do to help yourself during this week-long fest?

1. Hydrate Yourself

Hydration of the body is very important in general, but of dire consequences during Navratri. Forgetting drinking water is very common, in fact, it happens to the best of us, all the time but it’s still mandatory. Just like our body, our skin needs proper hydration as it goes through a tiring time as well.

Kaya Clinic Intense Hydration Body Lotion is soothing and the perfect fit for the harshest of weather. It is enriched with Kokum and Shea butter which help it lock the moisture in the skin for 24 hours. It is highly suitable for dry to normal skin, and perfect for keeping your skin hydrated.

2. Sleep Enough

Throughout this period, dancing is a must and sleep generally takes a backseat. There is an air of all-round merriment which makes for unforgettable memories. How can you sleep when all of your family and their extended families and everyone you ever knew has come out to play and enjoy the celebration? This causes the formation of dark circles under the eyes and leaves them puffy.

Although sleep is a good resource, if you are in the need of a cream that helps soothe the eyes, you can always look into Kaya Clinic Brightening and Firming Eye Serum. It’s formulated specially for combination to oily skin type, a light formula which relives the eye from puffiness and brightens the skin. Brightening and Firming Eye Serum contains a combination of active complex of soy and rice peptides, yeast protein, hyaluronic acid and seaweed extract. Seaweed extract contains an amalgamation of minerals, vitamins, polysaccharides and proteins in high concentration and acts as a detoxifying agent. Soy and rice extracts have an anti-aging effect while Hyaluronic acid acts as a natural moisturizer and makes the skin smooth. It could be a perfect pick me up for you this festive season.

3. Use Waterproof Make-Up Only

During this fest of unending activities, one is bound to sweat quite a bit. And that too, on Navratri makeup! If you dance and you sweat, your foundation will look cakey and your eyeliner, may or may not be there. Hence, always, ALWAYS, use waterproof makeup.

Do not try to remove waterproof make up with water. Do not try and rub it off of your face. Instead, use a great oil-based makeup remover like Kaya Hydra Cleanse Makeup Remover. It is 3-in-1, alcohol-free, non-sticky, moisturizing, make-up remover which will be gentle on the skin and really smooth to use.

4. Take Care of Your Hygiene

During this fest, one goes to various places, meets more people than he or she can remember and stays active throughout the day, be it in the exterior or interior. This exposes the body to dust, dirt, and allergens. To protect yourself from diseases as well as breakouts, take a bath regularly and when required twice. Either way, don’t forget to wash your face.

You can use Kaya Clinic Acne Free Purifying Cleanser, Salicylic Acid enriched face wash for acne-prone & oily skin as it cleans the skin and washes away the dust particles which were previously stuck and remove traces of stubborn makeup.

5. Remember to Feed Yourself

Do not forget to eat. People tend to forget eating during such festivals as everyone gets together to celebrate the general merriment that surrounds them. Remember to get the proper fuel into your body so that it can sustain the exertion of that period. If you are getting fuel for your body, please take out the time to get a nutrition boost to your skin too!

6. Wipe Away The Sweat!

All this dancing and celebrating is bound to make you break a sweat. You must keep a packet of wet wipes nearby to clean up. Kaya Refreshing Mattifying Wet Wipes are mild wipes formulated for Acne-prone skin that clears pore-clogging impurities, and excess oil to purify and refresh skin on the go.

The skin sustains a lot of problems and starts showing effects only after a period of endurance, these effects come over time and hence are all the more stubborn to remove. Do remember to give your skin the care it needs during festivals without forgetting!
