Discover Trendy Techniques to Tie Scarf

Some people are crazy about scarves as they always spice up the drabbest of outfits. But are you aware that this small piece of cloth can be used in the trendiest ways. We have come up with few chic ways to tie a scarf, so let’s have a look so you can figure which one is your favourite.

Knotted Shawl

http://www.buzzle.com/images/fashion/winter-clothing/woman-tying-scarf-in-knotted-shawl-step3.jpg

It is slightly more unconventional version of the wrap. Drape the scarf around the shoulders like a shawl and take the ends and tie a knot on the back. Next pull the knot up high on your back. Pull the down the scarf to cover up the knot. Wear this look in the evening over a sleeveless dress or top
and you are good to go.     Knotted Necklace

Don’t have time to change after a day at work and need to meet your loved ones? Opt for this look. Put the scarf behind your neck. Take one end and drape it around your hand. Tug it through to make a loose loop. Now bring the other end of the scarf and let it go under the knot loop and the take
above it. French Twist

Just double the scarf in half and put it around your shoulders. Take one loose end of it and tug it above and then under the scarf loop. Use the other end and go underneath and put it above the same loop. This look is good over a formal shirt. You can also wear a jacket to complete the look. Neck Wrap Want to spice up your casual look and make it look chic?  Try this look. Take a long scarf once around your neck. Tie a small knot using the long ends, and take it closer to your neck. Tug the
remaining loose fabric of the scarfand cover the knot.

The Muffler Look

This is a best way to keep yourself warm during winter months. Try this look to keep the cold breeze away. Loop a long scarf twice around your neck. Secure the loose ends and tuck them under the loops. The Necklace Look Dropped something on your top and don’t have time to change or even wash it off! Cover it up with this look. Double a long scarf in half lengthwise. Take the diagonal ends
and knot them together. Put it over your neck, then twist it and loop again

.

Classic Knot You can opt for this classy look- not only this is easy but it also looks good too. Fold the scarf in the middle and drape it around your neck and bring its loose ends in the front creating a loop, pull the ends through it.

Braided

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Pxq0tRjvOmE/S_gXK0nTMpI/AAAAAAAAAJM/b-x0yqbtJjY/s1600/IMG_0360.JPG

This look is slightly different and requires a bit of patience. But once you know it, this will be your favourite day time look. If you know how to braid your hair, then this should be a piece of cake. Wrap a long scarf behind your neck. Secure a loose half knot with the ends. Take the right end of the scarf and cross it over the left then pull it under the scarf loop and over. Now take both the ends and criss-cross them over each other until a braid is formed (tip- start from the left end). Tug the braid to have a relaxed look, make a knot of loose ends or leave it loose.

Chic Style Guide: Personal Fashion & Quality Trends

The great news is that you don’t need to hire an expensive stylist to help you look like a diva. There are few style habits that you need to keep in mind to look like million dollars.

Have your own personal style

Fashion is evolving every day, but it is absolutely fine if you don’t follow the trends always. Not everything that is trendy is going to suit you. Ensure that what you wear is chic yet classy. Be choosy about the fashion you wear. It should highlight your personality. Wear clothes that will not just look good but also make you feel good.

Don’t be a brand slave

Sometimes street shopping can work wonders on creating a look which a famous brand might fail at. So always keep your eyes open. You don’t have to spend a lot to give yourself a chic and stylish look. You can also wait for the end of the season sale to buy the bag or dress you were eyeing for.

Break rules

As we all know that rules are meant to be broken. It holds true when it comes to fashion as well. Who said you cannot wear the acid look denim. No doubt it was the 80’s look. But team it up with the right accessories and you will still look stylish.

Focus on accessories

You might have the perfect dress and the hair, but if you team it up with wrong accessories then you are in for a major fashion faux pas. Always take your time to accessorize your outfit. Once you get the hang of it, you will be able to make a drab outfit into a fab one.

Focus on quality

We know that you love to shop, but always focus on quality. Buy stuff that will last long and you will be able to wear it with other outfits. Avoid buying a product or an item just because it is on sale. Buy it only if you are going to make good use of it.

Be organized

Always plan your outfit a day in advance or even a night before. That way you will not miss out on anything. Also to stay organized, de-clutter your wardrobe. Every few days (ideally once in a month) give away or remove items that you no longer use or cannot fit into. That way your wardrobe will stay organized but also make space for some new ones. ;)

Be minimalistic

“Less is more” is an important fashion commandment that you need to follow. To have “that perfect look”, avoid cluttering the look. It will come across that you are trying too hard. Avoid wearing too many colours at the same time and also go easy on bling. Try to accentuate your natural beauty with right kind of makeup. Keep in mind that you don’t need wear something because it’s stylish, wear it because it makes you look and feel fabulous.

Avoid being a fashion junkie

We have always either heard or read how celebrities go to any extent to achieve size zero. Any kind of fashion trend that puts your health at risk is not good for you. If your back hurts after wearing those fabulous six inch heels or a bag puts strain on your shoulders, then they are not worth it. Fashion should always make you feel happy and comfortable. Starving yourself is not part of the deal.

Beauty is always about being you and being true to yourself. That’s how the world should see you. It will always keep you in style. Hope these few suggestions help you to give yourself a unique persona that represents you and nobody else.

Easy Morning Beauty Hacks for Flawless Look in Minutes

Plus you definitely cannot function till you have your cup of coffee. We believe you are still struggling with your beauty regime and might even have to skip your morning breakfast.  Well, you need not get stressed over having to choose between sleep and beauty. With some simple and practical beauty hacks you can have both.

With these easy hacks, you will be able to follow them while you are half-asleep, but trust us they will make you look like a diva.

  • If you always have a difficult time using soft eyeliner pencils, draw a thick line onto your hand, use a rigid eye brush to pick up the colour and then apply to your eye.
  • Want to make your eyes look bigger and brighter? Line the water rim of your eyes either with flesh coloured liner or white liner.
  • Apply eye cream under and over the eyelids before applying your makeup. You will be able to apply makeup smoothly.
  • Use your ring finger to apply products around the delicate eye area. It uses less pressure compared to other fingers.
  • If you are having a difficult time drawing a straight line off an eyeliner at the base of the lids, draw dashes and connect by smudging the liner with a Q-tip.
  • Always place the mascara wand at the very base of your lash, then using a side-to-side motion, bring the wand upwards in one long, even stroke.
  • Opt for a small mascara brush for your lower lashes, as well as the lashes near the inner corner of your eyes. A smaller brush makes it easier to apply on the smaller lashes.
  • Apply clear mascara to spruce your brows and keep them in place.
  • If you have a square-shaped face, go for a thick brow. If you have a round face, aim for a more defined brow arch to make your face appear oval. If you have a long face, go for a straight, flat brow shape.
  • Use excess eye cream on cuticles. It will help to hydrate your cuticles and make your nails stronger.
  • Apply a shimmery gloss on the centre of your lips, top and bottom – it will attract light to your lips, making them look plump.
  • After using a hair conditioning mask, rinse your hair with cold water to close the hair cuticles.
  • To create a long-lasting matte finish on your lips, take a powder blush and tap it on top of your lipstick and then apply the lipstick.
  • If you want to skip shampooing but do not want greasy bangs, just wash your bangs. It's simple: pull the rest of your hair back in a ponytail, wet your hands with a coin size amount of conditioner, run it through your fringe, and rinse it out.

We hope these easy beauty secrets will help you face a bad day. Do you have any secrets that you can rely on? Feel free to share with us.

Elevate Your Style With Wardrobe Essentials

So whether you are looking to start over or simply wish to modernise an old outfit, these tips will work well for you.

A perfect white shirt/ Tee

Nothing is classier than a white shirt. Go for a super soft, relaxed look. If you prefer Tees over shirts, you can go for V-style neck as its perfect if you love to wear necklaces. White Tees that have a lived-in look are a perfect day wear if teamed with a blue pair of jeans.

Bright kurta

Go for loose bright kurtas in light fabrics, cool prints and embroidery. They are a classic requirement for your ethnic wardrobe. Pair them with jeans, leggings or patialas to stay at ease on a hot day. A classy kurta will always come to your rescue on days when you feel you have absolutely nothing to wear.

Black pants

A pair of slim fit black trousers not only outdoes all fashion trends but is a piece of clothing that is versatile. There is no doubt that black pants are one of the few wardrobe essentials that can be worn with just about anything else in your closet.

Blazer

Every wardrobe should have a made-to-order jacket that can be worn with jeans or over a cocktail dress. To keep it feminine, make sure the silhouette fits well.

Colourful anarkali

No ethnic closet is ever complete without the classy anarkali! We all adore anarkalis for their ability to flatter our curves, and to make us feel so-pretty. They are just perfect for the Diwali party or a wedding function or a dressy family dinner.

Skinny jeans

They go with everything. Opt for a considerably high-rise style to give the impression of longer, slim legs and stick to a true blue wash that will go with everything.

Ethnic skirt

A pretty, bright skirt can be worn with tank top for a fun ethnic touch to your chic style and can be paired with a gorgeous blouse and vibrant dupatta for a mixed and matched look.

An evening dress

Whether it’s a gown or a sensual cocktail number, a black dress is synonymous with classy style. It always boasts stunning yet simple designs, like a V neckline, a fitted waist, and a flowing skirt. It can be worn time and time again. The right accessory, whether pear earrings or flats, will make the dress apt for an evening event or something slightly less formal.

Have these “must-haves” in your wardrobe and you will add more class to your already chic style.

Take out that trendy outfit from your closet, while we give you a couple of handy advices to challenge the mischievous rains.  Here’s our list of must haves you have to get your hands on this season to help you fight monsoons in style.

  • Flip flops

Perhaps, wearing flip flops is the best part about the rainy season. They are best suited for a day out on informal wear. It is not something that’s scowled upon anymore. Flips Flops dry fast and are a complete fuss free choice in footwear during light rains. Also, they add a colourful effect to your entire ensemble, pepping your entire personality instantly; that’s just perfect for a stylish rainy season. Ensure you choose a zany print with a good grasp. We do not want you falling down those stairs now!

  • Shorts

There is nothing more terrible than being trapped outside in the rains only to find ourselves damp and humid for the rest of the day. That is why we suggest a timeless pair of shorts.  Ensure you wear dark coloured ones with fabrics that are not see-through. Hence, choose from fairly thick fabrics in synthetic blends that can dry quicker and are adaptable too. You can pair them up with a blazer for work, a modest tee for fun or an elegant blouse for a night out. Keep up with the monsoon feel with pretty shorts so you do not have to care about dirtying the edges of your trousers.

  • Waterproof Handbags

You do not want your much-loved leather bag to lose its splendour during monsoons. Show some compassionate love for those exquisite leather bags and pick something a little more appropriate like plastic totes in solid and transparent colours. For a night out during this season, buy some patent leather clutches that are ultra-trendy. Bid your leather bags a goodbye for these three months and go for trendy colourful waterproof bags.

  • Gumboots

Monsoons are incomplete without the typical “Gumboots”. Perfect for a regular walker, they safeguard your much-loved trousers from any puddle or crater.  They come with a quick-dry knitted nylon lining, making it an effortless affair with the boots to be worn every single day for three whole months, and it also has a rubber out-sole for a strong grip. Gumboots are chic, comfortable and a perfect bet to beat the rains stylishly.

  • Raincoats

Keep yourself up to date by picking monsoon basics like raincoats as they go beyond their basic use. Select your preferred trend before you buy your monsoon gear, as rain coats are available in neon colours, polka dotted and even transparent. We say raincoats are one of the most fabulous ways to keep yourself dry, fashionably all through these unpredictable monsoons.

Trendy Fashion Tips: Crop Tops, Florals, Pleats & More

Crop Tops.

There’s more than just your legs to flaunt this year. 2014’s been all about baring the mid-riff. Crop Tops have been trending for a while and they are here to stay. So, that automatically makes it a wardrobe staple. You MUST have them. They can be sexy, chic or cute depending on how you pair them. It’s also a great way to turn up the heat if you are not comfortable with short dresses. The best thing about crop tops is that they are versatile. You can pair them with pretty much anything - pants, short or long skirts, whatever suits your style.

Flower Power.

As clichéd as that sounds, Florals are always a favourite in the hot months. You can choose a floral midi-dress, a floral sleeveless top, a floral skirt or all of them. They are low maintenance, easy to work with and they instantly make the heat bearable. It’s in the Pleats.

Nope, we are not talking about sarees. We are talking about the pleated skirt that is taking the runways by storm. You can choose any length you are comfortable with and you would still be trending. So, get your hands on them. Push the Hemline.

Longer hemlines are all the rage this year. Stray from the minis just this once and get your hands on the knee-length or tea-length skirts and dresses. They are sexy in an understated way. Try them. A Pop of Colour.

While monochromes are still going strong, there are a few hues that have snuck their way to the top. If you are going colour be sure to stack up on oranges, blues, orchids, cayenne and icy pastels. You are going to see them quite a bit, and you’d want to be one of the firsts. Mix it up, and get dresses, skirts, tops, etc., in these colours and you’d be bang on trend.

PS: If being on trend is important, then keeping your body in good shape to carry them off is equally important. As you may have noticed, this year’s trends require you to show plenty of skin, so make sure that your body is worked out and hair-free through the season, particularly your legs, arms, underarms and midriff. A gym membership and Laser Hair Removal should do the trick. Why not waxing or shaving? Because, while they are great, they don’t exactly keep you hair free permanently or save you trips to the parlour. Besides, if you’ve let technology help you in all aspects of life, there’s no reason you shouldn’t let it work its magic on your body hair too. It’s safe, it doesn’t give you in-growths and you end up with hair-free satin smooth skin. Win, win and win!
